Why is cuticle care important?

The cuticle is a thin strip of skin surrounding the base of the nail that serves as a protective layer, preventing bacteria and infections from penetrating. Proper cuticle care not only maintains healthy nails, but also gives your hands a well-groomed appearance.

Without proper care, the cuticle can dry out, crack, and become a source of hangnails, which not only spoils the appearance of your hands, but can also lead to inflammation and slow nail growth.

Basic recommendations for cuticle care

Regularly apply special oils or creams containing vitamin E, allantoin, chamomile and aloe extracts to the cuticle. This will help keep it soft and prevent cracks.

Before removing the cuticle, it is recommended to soften it with a warm hand bath or special products - removers. After softening, gently push back the cuticle with an orange stick or pusher. It is not recommended to trim the cuticle with scissors to avoid microcracks and hangnails.

When doing household chores, especially those involving chemicals, wear gloves to protect your hands and cuticles from aggressive effects.

Get a manicure at least once every two weeks to keep your cuticles and nails in good condition.

A balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals helps strengthen nails and improve the condition of the cuticle.

Additional tips

Use a moisturizing hand cream all year round: in summer - with SPF protection, in winter - a thicker and more nourishing one.

Do not remove the cuticle dry; always soften it first to avoid damage.

Regular and proper care of the cuticle not only improves the appearance of your hands, but also prevents possible problems with the health of your nails. By following the above recommendations, you will maintain the beauty and health of your hands for many years.
